We Don’t Rush Your Care
We take the time to make sure our patients receive thorough and personalized care at every visit. When you or your child visit us for the first time, please reserve approximately 90 minutes for your appointment.
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff, offered a refreshment, and have some time to fill out any remaining paperwork. Your hygienist will then introduce themselves and begin your appointment.
Your first preventive visit will include a full set of x-rays, plus HD intraoral images that provide a comprehensive view of your entire mouth, including the roots of your teeth and your jawbones. A periodontal exam will follow to evaluate your gum health and to screen for gum recession. If your gums have no swelling or deep pockets, we will continue with a gentle preventive cleaning.
Dr. Mistry will perform a thorough examination of your mouth, review your x-rays and images with you, and offer a through explanation of his findings and any additional treatment recommendations he may have.
Advanced Periodontal Therapy
If we do spot evidence of gum disease or inflammation, we’ll need to take a different approach to ensure your gums are healthy before receiving your standard preventive cleaning. To address evidence of gum inflammation, our team will perform a full debridement and schedule a deep cleaning. Because the gums are the foundation to your entire smile, keeping them healthy is important to your overall wellness, including your cardiovascular system, respiratory health, and more!
